Executive Director, Talent Management Job Openings at Quest Diagnostics
Job Description:
The Quest Diagnostics Executive Director of Talent Management is responsible for, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Affirmative Action and Diversity. In this role, the successful candidate will drive key talent initiatives that align to the short-term goals and long term business strategies for the company.
Main Responsibilities
• Working closely with the Management team, defines talent acquisition strategies that attract and retain top talent at every level including executive, management, exempt, on-campus recruiting, and interns. In addition, identifies opportunities for centralized recruiting process for key non-exempt positions in the company
• Work with recruiting team to identify and implement numerous sourcing strategies including lead generation, direct sourcing, cold calling, and networking and referral generation. Build, maintain and manage prospect pipeline of leads.

• Evaluate and redesign current recruiting structure, practices and processes to ensure the right talent, in the right place at the right time
• Ensures that the company’s staffing strategies embrace a diverse internal and external applicant pool and create an environment where employees are provided opportunities and encourage to develop to their fullest potential
• Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding Human Resources issues
• Drives process and accountability related to company’s Affirmative Action Plans
• Drives the development and implementation of key leadership development strategies to better prepare candidates for future leadership roles
• Identifies opportunities to integrate Leadership competency model into Human Resources practices and processes
• Develops succession strategy to retain key talent, identify talent gaps, and develop strategy to close talent gaps
• Strengthen management’s ability to assess talent through process improvement initiatives
• Drives the development and implementation of key diversity initiatives aimed at building understanding and commitment to continuing to support a diverse workforce and to create an environment that leads to business success
• Designs scorecard of key core metrics to effectively benchmark and track results
• Consults with the Senior Management Team, HR Leadership Team and other members of management on talent management practices and processes; acts as a subject matter expert for business leaders
• Assesses and improves the effectiveness of ongoing talent management strategies to ensure consistency and quality across the organization
• Manages complex relationships with Quest Diagnostics leadership, and external providers, establishing and maintaining a strong presence within the market.
• Focuses on key growth areas, gaps in succession plans, wherever shortage of key capabilities for business success exist
• Challenges and encourages talent management team to develop innovative initiatives and programs
• Works closely with the HR Leadership Team to realize maximum opportunities related to Talent Acquisition and Management
Key Success Factors
• Proven track record of successful development and implementation of talent acquisition and talent management strategies
• Competence in driving performance, motivating a team to achieve results and creating an environment where employees can perform their best
• Ability to measure and deliver results for budgeted headcount, turnover and time to fill open positions. Deliver external top talent required to optimize, performance, achieve diversity objectives and meet regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of “best in class” talent management processes and practices
• Understanding of the strategic philosophy involved in developing global HR initiatives that are aligned with and closely linked to strategic business objectives
• Strong leadership and influencing capability and ability to be effective with a multiple audiences

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management or business-related field; Master’s Degree preferred
• 10 + years experience in human resources management, talent management or related functions, including five years experience in the creation, design and delivery of talent management programs having global organization-wide impact
• Five years of management and supervisory experience
• Advanced knowledge and abilities in the principles and practices of talent management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
• International experience acquiring and retaining diverse executive and management-level staff
