Job Description:

Oracle North America Consulting works with companies to address key challenges through the implementation of Oracle application-based business solutions.

This individual contributor position is solely responsible for Oracle application consulting business development.

The individual works closely with Oracle License Sales Regional Directors and Account Managers as well as their Oracle Consulting colleagues within a geographic region of the United States.

The principal responsibility of the CSM is to drive bookings of professional services.

Responsibilities
Lead business development in the assigned market for Oracle application professional services. Industries covered will include retail, consumer goods, financial services, manufacturing, communications, pharmaceuticals, and high technology.

The selected candidate will be assigned a list of targeted accounts, a geographic territory, pipeline targets, and a bookings quota for the market by fiscal quarter.

In addition to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) associated with the earlier responsibilities, the selected candidate will be expected to meet key proactive metrics for driving solutions sales and increasing pipeline.

This is a senior level sales leadership role, comparable to a seasoned Senior Manager in the big five model.

Key success factors include the ability to excel in the following:
· Forge strong working relationships with License Sales Regional Directors and License Account Managers.
· Co-plan and execute opportunity sales plans with Oracle License Sales and Consulting teams.
· Actively pursue and hunt for new business opportunities in accounts.
· Network within the industry, market, and accounts to bring new client contacts to the Oracle license and consulting account teams.
· Identify/develop key partner strategies for specific market segments.
· Provide high content contributions to joint license and consulting opportunities around Oracle application solution areas identified above.
· Communicate effectively at all client levels, including CxO.
· Quickly grasp client business and technical requirements and fit consulting solutions around those specific needs.
· Manage all phases of the business development cycles to successful close (including proposal development, implementation estimating, scope construction, and client presentations).
· Proactively approach the market segment through active leadership in industry and community organizations.
· Work well in a matrixed organization.
· Add industry specific and technology solution expertise to the sales process.
· Understand and demonstrate experience of managing quota attainment.
· Maintain and nurture client relationships to ensure additional business.

Job Skill:

Preferred Requirements
· BA/BS or equivalent; MBA is a plus
· 5-7 years experience working for a solutions consulting organization. Desirable backgrounds include experience in the Big Five, IBM, EDS and/or Oracle Consulting: significant previous experience in a solutions consulting role, preferably at the project leadership level.
· Solution selling experience.
· Proven track record of successful solutions-oriented services sales, minimum $4M in professional services sales per year over past 3 years.
· Expertise in at least one of the following industries: financial services, high technology, manufacturing, consumer products, pharmaceutical and medical products, retail, and telecommunications.
· Drive and motivation to sell services full-time. This is a direct sales role.
· Superior communication skills (both for internal and external clients), very strong leadership qualities, and team oriented business values are essential.
