Lime Wire LLC, maker of the industry leader in innovative peer-to-peer file-sharing programs, seeks an exceptional Quality Engineer for a junior-to-mid level position. Ideal candidates will be innovative, self-motivated, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities.

The candidate must also be a strong multi-tasker with exceptional test project management skills.

In this position, you will work under the direction of the Quality Assurance Director and work closely with the engineering and business teams to implement quality initiatives across Lime Wire’s software application projects.

Responsibilities

• Review software specifications & design and develop test plans/strategies for various software application projects
• Lead the execution of both manual and automated test cases and scripts
• Report test results and metrics to the management team and proactively work to resolve any such issues
• Work closely with the test automation lead and developers to help create, maintain, and execute automated system/regression test scripts
• Help maintain the QA/Test environments and assist in build and deploy activities
• Work closely with the QA team in managing assigned test projects, streamlining the QA process, and other QA-related initiatives

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle
• At least 3 years experience in the design and detailed execution of test plans and scripts (functional, UI, performance, security, etc.) with proven record as an SQA lead
• Strong knowledge of web-based, database, and/or peer-to-peer technologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical associates
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Quick learner

Bonus Points

• Experience with online sales systems, podcasting, other web-based applications and/or peer-to-peer applications
• Experience with any test automation tools & scripts and/or debugging Java GUI or web UI
