Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer/Web Developer/Architect in our San Diego, CA office.

Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Technology Services, the Senior Software Engineer is a senior-level software engineer with a strong background in enterprise web development.

This position requires an experienced engineer capable of operating with minimal supervision and a strong tendency to independent thought.

Position will utilize a strong technical background and analytical skills plus the ability to architect new solutions.

Participates in all tasks related to requirements gathering, analysis, unit testing, and software implementation. Required to excel in commercial Web development using a Microsoft.NET architecture and SQL Server database.

Responsibilities:

•Translates business requirements documents into software designs consistent with our architecture, coding standards and business goals
• Researches and evaluates alternative solutions, and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems/software design and develops software specifications and procedures.
• Implements software designs using the applicable technologies and software languages (software engineering)
• Stays current on advancements in technology, design practices, and architecture, as well as the latest software and networking processes, tools, and methods, and for making recommendations on how these advances can be applied to the current products and engineering practices
• Reports progress against schedule for all assigned tasks on a regular basis

• Minimum of 7 years related experience, including prior experience as a lead programmer in a commercial
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Major
• Enterprise class product-experience, and a track record building large scale web applications
• Expert-level development experience using C#, ASP.NET, SOAP and web services
• Proven experience with Transact-SQL, XML, XSL, and COM component creation in an n-Tier development environment
• Strong object oriented design skills and a track record of delivering designs to market
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team environment
• Strong problem solving skills
• Prior experience using formal project management tools and processes is desired
